here come's trouble!

Stephanie sent me an adorable pic today of my nephew Calvin in his cute monkey outfit we gave him for Christmas. What a handsome little man!

tea time

Went to this cute little tea place called the Lavender Tea House in Sherwood when Nate's cousin Amy was in town a couple months ago with Nate's mom and Aunt Suzie. We had a great time, and the place is just adorable!

For Mother's Day, my mom, sister, and both grandmothers and I had a lovely tea at the Tea House. I just love these women!

Memorial Day Weekend

We started the weekend off with a fun Friday night with my great friend Carlee and her husband Garrett. Carlee and I have been friends since the 7th grade, and I'm so happy we've maintained our friendship all these years! It's so great when friends marry people that get along with your spouse too! We had a nice dinner made by my fabulous chef and then had a great time at the Drive-In (we are now only 5 minutes away!).

Saturday was a pretty relaxing day that was spent outside in the beautiful weather. Also took some pictures of our growing pup who is now 19 weeks old, and weighs over 25 pounds. So cute!


Today we had a bunch of our great friends from church over for lunch. We intended to have a BBQ, but we were unable to find a grill that we liked for the right price. So we made some tacos and enjoyed some wonderful fellowship on this gorgeous sabbath.

Unfortunately I was put on-call tonight at work, which I was sort of looking forward to because of the holiday pay. But it did give Nate and I an opportunity to go to Ikea and take advantage of the Expedit sale. Almost half off! Couldn't pass that one up. So now we have a bookcase for our little "book corner" up at the top of the stairs. All I need now is a sweet chair and some cool art and accessories and it will be an awesome space to chill and read a book. Will post pictures when finished!

We may take Charlie to the park tomorrow if I don't get called in to work tonight. I will make sure to take pictures this time of Charlie in the water! That is if she will be brave enough to go in again.

A day at the park

Charlie had her first experience in water today (besides the bath). We took her to a big park by the river and she sure was pooped out afterward. She also got to play with her buddy Matix (our friends Lynsey and Tyler's new boxer puppy). When we got down to the river, I don't think Charlie knew what the river was because she just instantly leaped in about 5 feet and then realized she wasn't quite so sure about it. haha. After that she was pretty timid and just went in up to about her belly. It was still super cute! I can't wait until she loves the water and can fetch. I think she'll be a good water dog. :)

Unfortunately we have no photos from our fun day at the park because our camera battery died. I just feel so bad we didn't get our puppy's first swim on camera. Oh man... just think how I'll be with a baby.
